Congratulations to the happy couple Cutie Pie and Sammy are expecting the arrival of their new family around August 8th. Count all the storks for our early prediction.
The proud new mommy-to-be stops for a quick Cutie Pie Pose.
With four weeks left, Cutie stops for a little playtime by her favorite toy, while Daddy Sammy and Uncle Jake play above.
One of Cutie's favorite things to do is lay in the sun on a warm summer morning. If you look closely you can see she is just starting to show. At 40 days, her tummy is starting to round out as she begins to lose her cute little waistline.
Is the honeymoon over already?? Yes, Cutie and Sammy are going to be parents, but why does the couple seem so upset with each other? Looks like one of them is in the DOG HOUSE! I wonder which one of them is in BIG trouble, and why? Oh well, we'll find out why there's "Trouble In Paradise" later in the stork story..
July 30, 2007 Here's our little girl with just nine days to go before her due date. She's feeling the heat these days. All the dogs have been a little sluggish, but they know how to cool themselves down by taking a little dip in the kiddie pool. Unfortunately, Cutie can't get her big tummy over the side of the pool, so I make sure I get out there a couple of times a day to lift her into the water for a little cooling off dip.
It's July 31st. Hopefully in eight more days Cutie will be tucked away in our puppy nursery with her new family. She's doing pretty good. She's eating just fine and her spirits are pretty high. I've already started feeding her ProPlan puppy formula for the higher level of proten it supplies. Tomorrow we'll start taking her temperature twice daily and keep an eye open for any sudden drop. For now it's pretty much just a waiting game.
Cutie is looking pretty good for only having three days to go before her due date. She doesn't have much of an appetite these days, but that's normal for where she is in her pregnancy. Her temperature is in the 99's, which is low, but it's been there all week, so I can't count on that to be her sudden drop. She is resting more than usual. Again, very normal at this point.
We have added steps for Cutie to make it a little easier for her to navigate her way in and out of her house.
I have to admit, for being so close to her due date, she is looking rather fit. Her spirit is high. Infact, she still wants to play sometimes. I have been in touch with my vet and we're keeping a close watch on her. As soon as her temperature drops he wants to see her. I have a feeling Cutie will not be whelping her puppies at home.
Here is Cutie out for a little stroll the night before her due date. When it's time for her to kennel back up she's more than happy to oblige since she gets tired pretty easily. Those little legs walking 60 feet out and 60 feet back is asking alot in her condition. The puppies were kicking up a storm tonight. I guess they're ready to join the world. That's something that never gets old for me. Feeling those tiny little feet and legs crash against the palm of my hand is always such a miracle.

A one day old pile of Cutie puppies At just one day old our five little girls are doing great. Mommy is taking excellent care of them and they're very happy and content little princesses.
Cutie and her pups are doing GREAT! All the pups are eating well and gaining weight everyday. Cutie is an excellent mother and tends to their every need. These puppies are absolutely beautiful!! I guess Cutie knew this was going to be her last litter and totally went out in a blaze of glory. NICE JOB CUTIE PIE!!!!
Yup, it's definitely a little girl!
There is nothing cuter then a puppy belly. Cutie's pups are five days old and are very happy, content little puppies. Cutie is doing a wonderful job caring for her babies. The pups are always sparkling clean with full, round little bellies.
AND, that's probably because their mommy won't even leave them when her tummy is hungry. Soooooooo, we bring her food to her and they all eat together, just like every family should.
Cutie and the girls are doing as good as can "bee." The pups are growing by leaps and bounds. They're starting to crawl all over the whelping area, but never too far from mama bee. Click to see their new video.
LOOK AT THOSE FACES How sweet are these five little babies? Cutie's pups are 10 days old now and are doing great. Because they haven't had to fight through a crowd to find mommies nipple, they've all had plenty of milk these past 10 days. They all weigh around the same, except for the first little girl born. She is a couple of ounces more than the rest, but nothing real obvious. Within the next few days their eyes and ears will start to open. Soon they will hear and see not only their mommy, but THIS crazy lady who has been hugging and singing to them since they were born.
Cutie and her pups doing what they like best. Food, cuddling, and being together.
The pups eyes are finally open all the way. They look like adorable little puppies. They're trying to get up on all fours now and I even caught them trying to play bite each other. It's so cute. I moved the pups and Cutie back into the house because of the heat, so now they're nice and comfy..
It's time to find out why Cutie is mad at Sammy, the handsome daddy to her puppies. Click on the "Trouble in Paradise" photo to find out the answer.
Cutie and Sammy's pups are almost four weeks old. The pups are walking around, and even trying to come out of their whelping area. Their teeth are in and they love to play nibble. As soon as they see me they go into play mode. They know I'll be opening the door of their kennel to do a little puppy wrestling. All the pups have a great temperament and love human contact. Very, VERY sweet little girls.
September 12, 2007 A look at Cutie's pups at 5 weeks old
Snickers hasn't met her new family yet, but Pat, Jean, and the kids,Colleen and Sean were hoping this little cutie was going to be theirs. This family sat back and waited to see which puppy they would get and it was just the one they were hoping for.
Carole is just thrilled beyond words to welcome her new little Chelsea into her life. She and her friend Roe travelled 2 1/2 hours to get here, but it was certainly worth the ride.
Tom, Joanne, and the kids took awhile before they settled in on this adorable little girl, but once they made their decision, there was no going back. They're not quite sure if their new puppys name will be Lilly or Ashely, but either way, this pup is in for some fun times.
It didn't take Hannah long to decide which puppy she wanted. Cutie's sweet little puppy, now known as Pepper, has a new home and this family couldn't be happier.
The waiting is finally over for Marty, Theresa, AND the rest of the NJ Beagles Discussion Forum. It was a toss up, but little Sadie is the pup that stole their hearts, and so did momma Cutie as she sat in for a little family photo.
