You're Invited To A Party
For
Mickey, Lt. Dan, Sherlock, Maggie, and Snoopy
Mickey is doing great! He is such a nice mix between a crazy playful pup and a sweet, cuddly lap dog. He LOVES kids and other dogs, especially beagles. He especially loves his beagle “uncle”, Remy. He loves to go for walks, and I’ve seen him track a squirrel or two, baying and all. He’s about 12 inches tall, and he weighs 24.5 pounds. He’s short but stocky and muscular.
He’s a very well behaved dog. We never had to crate him, and he’s had run of the house when we’re gone since November. He’s never gotten into anything while we were gone. He is extremely smart. He even brings us his bowl if it’s empty and he’s hungry! He’s also a big “momma’s boy”. When he’s tired, upset, or thinks he’s in trouble, he comes to me and just wants to sit on my lap.
Like I said, he loves the outdoors. We have a bench below our livingroom window and he spends most of his down time looking out, watching the world. He’s a great “watchdog” and lets me know if anyone, human or canine, is getting close to the house. Of course, if they actually come in he’s not much of a watchdog anymore, slobbering whoever it is with lots of kisses. He is very trusting and almost overly friendly, he loves everyone!
Everyone loves Mickey, and all our friends kids love spending time with him. My best friend’s 18 month old son even said “Mick” as one of his first words!
As you can see by the picture attached, he is definitely spoiled. At night, once he is in his bed, we tuck him in with a blanket. He loves to be covered! He has definitely made our little family a “family”.
He loves the company of other dogs so much that we decided to get him a beagle sister. I'm sure he'll be thrilled with a live-in playmate! We couldn't be happier with our little guy! He really has made our lives full of laughs, love and cuddles.

My boy Lt. Dan really loves to sleep, eat, and run. Pretty much like me...so it's a good match.
He loves to sprawl out on my couch, and have his belly rubbed.
When we're outside, he forever wants to chase squirells and birds.
He stills eats paper off the ground...but after a stern "No"...he drops it. Ok, most of the time.
Overall, he's pretty well behaved. He is very affectionate with other dogs, and is usually the aggressor. But he has been known to be scared on occasion -- he attacked a skunk that was on the side of my house...the skunk sprayed so the whole front of my house smelt really bad for a week. We both got a bath after that.
Overall, a year later I'm happy I got him, and couldn't imagine my homelife without him!

Sherlock is our very special doggie. S stands for special, H stands for handsome, E stands for eager to please, R stands for ready for anything,L stands for love he has for all, O stands for outgoing, C stands for children he loves, K stands for kisses he loves to give everyone. When we got on the waiting list for a puppy we had a slim chance of getting one of Cutie Pie's puppies. However, in my first conversation with Terry I knew in my heart that some how we would get a puppy from that litter. We did not choose Sherlock because he was the last puppy picked. Terry had knicknamed him Lucky, but we were the lucky ones. He is a very special doggie. He is not the typical beagle. He is motivated more by love than food. I always say he is all love. He has love for everyone he meets. He wins everyone's heart over immediatley. He is my 5 year old son's buddy; searching the backyard and rolling around. He is my 8 year old daughter's friend; racing and going for walks. He loves to do everything (play in the back yard, go on car rides, look out the window, dress up. He loves life. He is never demanding. On busy days he waits his turn. Always ready to give love. Words really can not describe him. He is one very special doggie that fills your heart with love.

Maggie's personality has not changed from her lovingness as a pup. She still is a KISSER. She is the GREETER. If Maggie is at the baseball field, soccer field or track meet, she has to greet everyone who walks by with a powerful waging of her tail. So powerful and with soooo much

energy that her entire backside and hindlegs are dancing. NO ONE can resist this overwhelming pouring out of affection. All ages stop to pet her. Sometimes it takes us double the time to walk a short distance because she has soooo many admirers petting and talking to her. EVERYONE wants to hug her.
She is a very good dog. From puppy obedience class, she learned to sit and stay very well. She very rarely has an accident in the wrong place. BUT, at times she is still a curious pup. We were all distracted watching Tommy's baseball game that no one noticed that she got her entire head into Grandma's pocketbook. Gandma wears RED lipstick and Maggie must have liked the smell and taste of the lipstick. When she finally emerged from the pocketbook, Maggie was wearing red lipstick all over her snout. She needs more practice putting on her make-up. As you can see she ALWAYS makes us LAUGH and FEEL GREAT. You could come home from a hard day at work or school and there is the GREETER to make you feel soooo loved; no wonder dogs are good and healthy for people
Maggie is not even with us in our home for a year yet; however, it is hard to remember our lives without her. She is sooooo much part of our family that when possible she gets in the car with us and takes off. She swims very well. She navigates very well. She even came with us to a great-aunt's funeral. Our sons took turns playing with her outside the church, of course. You see the boys' excuse and explanation was that she was only with us for a week and could not be left alone. Our great-aunt probably loved the idea since she worked on a farm and loved animals.
We love her sooo much that we try to protect her as much as she PROTECTS others. She was blessed on St. Francis' Feast Day. She sees the Vet when she is suppose to eventhough that is not her favorite thing to do. She has great toys and places to rest and sleep. She learned from obedience class to stop at the corner. We are still working on this though. She takes her occasional bath, but she doesn't like the hair dryer. We all say very often that we hope we give Maggie as much joy as she gives us.
In closing, we would just like to share with you all that our sons also consider Maggie to be a "GREAT CHICK MAGNET". This is why Maggie has a bandana that reads "I'm with a cool single guy".
Love to all owners of Beagles,
The Caspers - John, Meg, Sally, Johnny, Tommy and MAGGIE
